The works appear minimal, but they are rich with meaning: a reflection of matriarchal knowledge, repetition as memory, and the visual poetry of daily life. Rather than echoing modernism, Mahlangu re-centers it—reminding us that abstraction, for many, is not a new invention, but an old inheritance.
