About

Miles Greenberg belongs to a generation of contemporary artists redefining figuration through performance, mythology, endurance, and the body itself. Working across sculpture, choreography, installation, and live performance, Greenberg merges classical references with contemporary questions surrounding identity, vulnerability, intimacy, and transformation. His work often exists between beauty and instability, monument and disappearance.

In Her Voice Dissolved Like Mist (Orpheus Holding Eurydice), Greenberg reinterprets the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice through a contemporary emotional and psychological lens. Carved from Carrara marble — the material historically associated with Greco-Roman and Renaissance sculpture — the figures appear suspended between permanence and dissolution, desire and loss. Within Summer Figuration, the work expands the exhibition’s dialogue beyond painting alone, positioning the human figure as both historical symbol and living contemporary subject.
