About

Largely self taught, Enrique Cabrera is a multidisciplinary artist; while primarily a sculptor he is also a photographer, musician, and art restorer. The Mexican artist’s combination of cultural iconography, industrial materials, and geometric patterns inspired by his early work in metal restoration and musical upbringing. Cabrera uses motifs like skulls, animals, and religious figures regularly, as he aims to bridge modern urbanism with historical narratives.

His work has been internationally exhibited as site-specific installations and/or outdoor sculptures in places like the Louvre (Carrousel du Louvre), Musée Picasso Antibes, Mori Art Museum (Tokyo), Art Basel, the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, and more. In 2022, Enrique became the second Mexican artist to have a work exhibited inside the Rockefeller Center, 85 years after Diego Rivera who died in 1937.
